Getting It Out In The Open

February 14th is not my favourite day of the year.

I just wanted to say that, to get it out in the open.

But for everyone searching for love today - male, female, young, old, tall and short - this is for you.

Indigo Roth rose for valentine's day
You're fabulous.

Never let anyone tell you that you're not.

    1. It seemed important to say it, today of all days.

    1. Hey Eolist! I have chocolate, but looks like I may have a minor shortfall of sex. It evens out. Indigo x

    2. Been there, done that, Annie! (I opted for buying myself strawberries & dark chocolate this year... hold the spouse.)

    3. No ladies, you only "hold the spouse" as you feed him into the woodchipper...

  4. This is a wonderful greeting, and the fact that you don't like Feb. 14 makes it all the better. I used to resent this day, too, although I always bought myself lots of chocolate. All the best to you.

    1. Hey Nancy! It seems like a sane sentiment to me, and doesn't change with time. And like your good self, I have choccy. Indigo x

    1. Why thank you, Paula! I must confess I'm feeling more exhausted than fabulous right now, and it's only 10:30. I keep bloody yawning! So I shall shuffle off to hide under my bed 'til morning... Indigo x

  6. Do you guys have Valentine's Day in Britain? I thought it was just another one of those dumb ass things only we Americans were known for. The blue rose is gorgeous. And yes. I am fabulous! So are you!

    1. Hey Jayne! Thank you m'dear! As for the day itself, I think it's global; it started in Italy, I believe. I have been wrong before, mind. Possibly more than once. Indigo x

    1. Hey Murr! I didn't know that. But I do like to be beside the seaside, so Oregon gets my vote! Indigo x

  8. I'd take blue flowers any day of the year.

Also, 2.14 is a shite day. I don't need one day to tell my loved ones that I love them. That's what every day is for.

    1. Hey Joshua, yeah. That's one of the main things that niggles me. I'm not sure whether to be insulted that they assume I don't do it every day, or sad that there are people out there who need to be reminded to do it at all. Indigo
