  1. right you are. you can't plan it. and, most often those "sometimes" when things just fall together are the best of times.

    1. Hey Eolist! Yep, just like a good "quick" recipe that worked, but which you could never recreate. Indigo x

    1. Hey Savannah! Planning can never achieve this without stress. It's just nice when it all unfolds in a lovely way. And thanks =) Indigo x

  3. The stars aligned for you, to be sure. But damn, man... now you have me craving a pint of Fuller's finest.

  4. Ha! I love that last line. :) And your metaphor. With or without pee.

    1. Hey Margaret. Well, it DID! SUCKER PUNCH, an entertaining enough tale on many levels (hot babes in fetish gear), but definitely lacking on many others (plot). And yes, the pee may have been beyond the pail. Indigo x

  5. And for me at least, those times leave me feeling smart, organized and efficient, whereas the times I plan carefully but everything goes south in a handbasket leave me feeling clumsy, forgetful and stupid. And NONE of it is related to me at all; it's all just circumstantial. I'm not sure what my point is here but it leapt into my head and it feels important to state it :) Going off now to wonder about this.

Sorry your movie stank, though. Was it something you had wanted to see or a spur-of-the-moment choice?

    1. Hey Jen! Yes, it was one I'd picked out, but I find that getting myself to a movie theatre is usually a long and painful process; I love movies, but don't much like sitting in a room full of other people to do it. As luck would have it, the place was empty. Another score! Indigo x

    2. And now you know why the place was empty. Apparently, everyone else had gotten the word that the movie stank. But it's a good thing you didn't, otherwise you might have just headed on home and missed all the other wonderful things about your evening. :)

    3. Hey Jayne! As the younger generation is wont to say, "true dat". No, I don't think I can quite carry that one off. Ah well. "I concur!" Indigo x

  6. Give youself twenty brownie points for going with the serendipty element of the night. Delete five hundred for the beer and fried food.

    Of course you got home by bedtime you fool. You'd hardly go to bed before you got home. {Unless you got extra lucky}

And just so you know..... I loved that 'I glance by chance' line. It smacks of France, romance, elegance and relevance!

    lol

    Nice one sir.

    1. Hey Alistair! It's okay, this wasn't yesterday, as you know; my current aversion to fast food is uninterrupted, and I can still look my pal Kato in the eye. And no, no luck, goldarnit! Indigo

  8. I love it when I do things "just right", or when fate helps me along on my mission. My usual thing is no parking, running for the bus and twisting an ankle only to miss it anyway, and spilling my hot coffee all down the front of my new "interview" suit. I'm glad this all worked out like it was charmed (except for the quality of the flick, of course).

  9. BLOSPOT has deleted a comment for some reason. I only know because of my mail notification:

Such a feeling of fitting into spacetime when the universe offers that opening that your jig-saw piece just fits perfectly. I would have blown the sequence on a second pint. "

Hey Bill! Welcome to the blog! Sorry that you almost got lost! Yes, it's always a good feeling; I felt I was on a roll, and perpetual motion seemed better than more beer. Hope to see you again, Indigo

  11. I love having NO PLANS and things just magically work out wonderfully!

"What a great night. From nothing, I filled my time with random events which all dove-tailed beautifully. Not a moment was wasted, I enjoyed some wonderful hot food and cold beer, and made it home by bedtime"

    MOST EXCELLENT!

    1. Hey Mia! You're not wrong! It was another solo effort (I really must find myself a girlfriend), but a terrific time from top to bottom; I've even warmed up a little to the movie (SUCKER PUNCH) on subsequent watches. Indigo x
